Assassination (Exile and Xeno) (M)

The air was cold on this moonless night. It stank of death though. Renji whipped the blood off of Hotsuma, his blade, and sheathed it at his waist. He was ordered to rendevouz with Ansatsu at this location and a rogue ninja had sweeped into view. Renji, not wanting to risk exposure, dashed from the cave and made short work of him.

"I hope Ansatsu hurries," he said quietly, "I wanna get this over with."

What Renji didn't know, was that in the black of the cave, Ansatsu climg to the ceiling. His mask. the divider between Kin the man and Ansatsu the monster was replaced on his face. He dropped down behind Renji, making nothing but a quiet tap as he landed. "Your late." Ansatsu said as he stood up. The monster took a few steps foward to look at he village. His armblades ready to slash his way through. Kin could feel the beast claw as the skilled assassin let it out. Ansatsu, the masked assassin was ready.

Renji laughed lightly. "Sorry, I needed to eliminate a certain loose end." He bowed slightly and crept over. "So Ansatsu, what is the mission?" Renji was only told to meet him here, he was not briefed on the mission. Renji drew Hotsuma and looked at the blade in the thin ray of moonlight. Hotsuma was his favorite weapon, it had seen him through countless battles and had even recruited members for the Order. And on this night, the blood lust the blade poesessed, would be sated. Or so Renji hoped.

"No rich hotel rooms to repaint tonight. Only rich men who serve a dead leader." Ansatsu said cryptic as ever. "Tonight we begin cleaning the remains of an empire, so a new one may take its place." He said and started to walk towards the village. Her wrapped a clock around himself as he walked, becoming a simple traveler, lost on the dark. He walked to the gate and stopped. "This place, you can feel his presenc, even in death." Two village gaurds walked up and ansatsu showed them the mark of Ryith Tentin and uncovered his face. 'Lord Ansatsu. What does the master require of us.' "The Master is dead. And now you join him." He whispered and stabbed both guards in there hearts, then pulled back and let the bodies fall.

So lord Tentin was dead. It made Renji almost explode with glee. He crept up behind Ansatsu and covered his face with his mask. "So wholescale slaughter huh?" Renji smiled beneath his mask and quickly spun around, drawing Hotsuma from the sheathe at his lower back. The man that had attempted to ambush them droped to the ground while his head rolled lazily away from the two expert assassins. "Is there a plan, or do we just stay together and slaughter everyone? Not to mention there will probably be some strong shinobi inside."

"Follow." Ansatsu said. This would be Renji's test. He will see if he is really worthy of the title assassin. He wandered the streets in the dark of night. They came to a run down hotel. "Here. Enter." Ansatsu said and disappered into the darkness. He appered at the back and started to claw his way up the side before entering in a broken window.

Well Ansatsu took the back way in. Leaving Renji two options. The side window, or the front door. "Well," renji muttered under his breath, "I do enjoy a challenge." He crept over to the front door and placed a small trip wire that would launch several shurkien at the front door if it was opened. He then moved swiftly to the side window and found it unlocked, he slid inside and looked around, one man was sleeping in the bed just across the room. He was in shinobi gear, therefore Renji assumed they were in a guard post. He stealthily moved forward and slit the throat of the man. One down.

Ansatsu skillfully crawled along the ceiling, staying in the shadows, being nearly invisible. He moved quickly and stealthfully into the room of three very rich black marketters that had been on Ryith's payroll. Now he would watch and see how his apprentice dealt with them.

Renji stayed hidden amongst the shadows. The three men in the next room seemed oblivious to the outside world, abbsorbed in some sort of card game. Renji never really cared for cards or games for that matter. They didnt even feel the fact that death himself had crept into the room on this moonless night. Renji drew his sword without even a slight sound and slipped in without being seen. He stealthily moved behind the man closest to the door, on the fringes of the light, and thrusted Hotsuma threw the mans chest, the blood splatering his comrades. They didnt have time to react, however, because at that moment, Renji threw two kunai with deadly accuracy. Each blade penetrated the men's skulls and bore deep into their brains. The room was clear. Renji looked up and smiled beneath his mask, before continuing his mission.

Anoother shinobi was about to enter the room that Renji had just killed the others in when he heard the slaying from outside the door. The rounin ran back and alarmed the other guards. Two made there way to the doorway, ready to ambush the assassin.

Renji moved towards the exit door, but paused. He heard faint whispers coming from the other side. "Damn!" He cursed silently. There must have been a guy on the opposite end, which meant that Ansatsu hadnt eliminated any of the targets on that end. Renji sighed and moved back away from the door and drew a small scroll. He cut his finger with one of the kunai and placed the blood upon the scroll. In a puff of smoke, Renji was holding a rather large scythe, Lily.

Lily was truly a remarkable weapon. Its looks alone captured attention. Six feet tall with a four foot blade. The shaft looked to be dragon bone and the blade itself was a dragons head design with razor sharp teeth. But the best part was the ability it had. By funneling chakra into the weapon and then swinging it, a powerful wave of either fire or ice is released. Renji utilized this ability to send a powerful burst of ice through the wall that the targets were behind.

The Ice pireced through the doorway and into the chests of the man waiting to attack. These slid to the floor and bleed out. More guards made there way into the room, avoiding hte walls and door. Ansatsu watched, or listened rather, to the whole confrontation from where he hid.

Renji waved his scythe and twirled it happily in one hand, before focusing the blade at one and then cleaving him in two. One man tried to attack from the left, but Renji was quicker, blocking the blade the shinobi had with the shaft of Lily. And then he quickly opened a large gash in the mans chest. The others stepped back and Renji again prepared himself for an attack. He had the advantage in this tiny space. Ninjutsu couldnt be used without damaging the entire building.
