Raven was shocked.
"No ones ever said that to me before," she whispered back.

"And I...I think I fell in love with you as well," she whispered.

Lantin smiled when she said she had fallen for him as well. He wrapped his arms around her, one, under her arm andup on the bottom of the back of her neck, and the other hand on the small of her back, pinky and ring finger on her rear. He kissed her passionately, as a lover would, enjoying this moment of newfound love, but the moment was interupted by a small hand pulling on his pants leg.

Akihiko tugged on Lantin's pant leg.

He started whimpering.
He was worried about the effect Lantin was having on his mother. Being only seven months old, he didnt quite understand what was going on, and thought that he was hurting her in some way.


Raven didnt catch on to any of this, she simply saw her child crying. Her attention shifted immediately to Akihiko.

She reached down and picked him up, bouncing him lightly.
"Aww, whats wrong, sweetheart?" she cooed. Akihiko still whimpered, and Raven sighed, looking apologetically over to Lantin.

Lantin shook his head, as to say don't worry and kissed Raven's cheek before walking off to another room. He had to prepare a few items, make them child safe, especially his war room. He would have to seal that off completely. "I'll be back in a bit." He called as he grabbed his scythe off the wall. "I'm just going to te store for a few things. Make yourselves at home."

"Um...ok," Raven said.

She looked around the huge room, sighing happily.

Suddenly, Akihiko started to whimper again, but this time for something new.

Raven put her hand up to his cheek, and her eyes widened slightly. "Hon, I think you're sick," she murmered softly. His face felt hot, and his skin was starting to look pale.

"I think you need a nap," Raven said quietly. "And then when Lantin gets back I'll go and get you some medicine..."

She walked into the living and sat down on the couch. She took her blanket out of her traveling pack and made a bed for Akihiko with it. Soon, he was sleeping soundly next to her.

Lantin returned aabout an hour later, arms weighted with practically a ton of stuff. Food, blankets, pillows, child gates and locks, and a box with an unbuilt crib in it. All of with was for mother nad child. He scythe was secured on his back. "I'm back." Lantin said and placed the packages down and let his arms rest, then went to find raven and akihiko. He found them in the living room. "I'm home" He whispered, seeing the baby asleep.

Raven had also fallen asleep, so she didnt reply.
She was having a dream. A dirty dream, involving Lantin. A sort of dream that shouldnt be dreamed when so close to an innocent baby.

She awoke suddenly jumping up.

Then Raven saw Lantin, and her face flushed a deep shade of red.

She rubbed the back of her neck, hoping the red on her face wasnt very visable. "Um....hey," she said, giggling nervously.

Lantin quickly sat down next to Raven and put his hand on her forehead. "Your face is all red, are you feeling ok. You seem cool enough to not have a fever." He said as he tried to figure out what was causing her to be all red and sweaty. Then it hit him right in the face. "Soooo, what were you dreaming." He asked with a smirk.

Raven's face went even more red.
"Hmmm? Um...nothing, I think i might be getting a fever, why would you ask that?" she said defensively.
To someone watching, it would have been comical.

Lantin laughed nad leaned over and kissed her neck quickly and stood up. "Well if you won't tell me...." Lantin caught sight of Akihiko. He knelt down and placed his hand on the child's head. "Now that is a fever." Lantin said, concern in his voice. "I think Aihiko is getting sick." Lantin siad and stood up. If you like, I can take you too to te hospital."

"Thankyou," Raven said.
"I was going to just go and get him some medicine, but his condition has deteriorated quite rapidly. I'm getting very worried about him..."

She looked down at Akihiko, whose face was covered with sweat and was an unhealthy shade of White-ish peach. His neko ears were flattened and he continually looked disturbed in his sleep.
Ravens eyes glistened with tears of worry, and her neko ears flattened as well.

"Can...can we go now, please?" she asked.

Lantin helped raven up and took off his jacket. He wrapped up Ahikiko in it. "It's a special material that stays cool even in this heat he said and handed over baby to mother and led them out. He walked with them to the hospital through the sandy streets. He entered and went right up to the reception desk. "Is Zansus here. I need see him now." he said the reseptionist pointed him down the hall and Lantin took Raven to the office. "Zansus is a former medical ninja. When he retired, he because a doctor in this hospital. He's one of the best and he owes me one." he said and opened th door of the office. "Zansus, I have a sick baby who needs help." the doctor looked up at lantin. 'Leave him with me. I'll take care of him.' he said and stood up. 'you two can wait outside if you like.'

"Thankyou very much," Raven said, bowing respectively.
She stepped outside like the doctor told her, and began fiddling with her fingers. She knew that Akihiko would be alright with a doctor, but she still hated leaving him all alone with someone she hardly knew. Even if it was just in another room.

Lantin took hold of her hand and brought her to the chairsoutsise the office. He say her down and sit next to her. "Relax, like I said. He's the best. Ahikiho will be just fine." he said, still holding her hand. He looked over at her. He leaned down and kissed her cheek.

Raven blushed lightly.
"I know....it's just that he's never been this sick before. I can't help but be worried about him, no matter how good of a doctor this doctor is."
Raven continued fiddling with her fingers.

Lantin couldn't help but smile. She really did care about her child. A rare sight in this world they lived in. He leaned down lower and kissed her neck, just as he had done in the oasis. It would t stop her from worrying, but it would take just enough away that she could sleep while she waited. After the kiss, he put his arm around her and gently leaned her against him, her head on his shoulder. "Try to sleep. It will be over before you know it.

"I'll try," Raven said quietly.
She leaned back against the wall, closing her eyes. Soon, she drifted off to sleep.

Lantin sighed happily as she drifted off to sleep. He gently kissed the top of her head, and put his arm around her, holding her close against him. "I wonder what your dreaming of." he whispered.the two sat like that for a half hour before the door infront of them opened. The doctor stepped out of his office holding a giggling, happy akihiko. "well well. Looks like your better." he laughed. "Raven. Raven dear. Wake up." he whispered in her ear.

Raven rubbed her eyes and yawned, slowly waking up.
"Mfff...."she moaned tiredly.

At last, she sat up straight and opened her eyes.

Raven saw the doctor and Akihiko, who looked like he wasnt sick anymore.

"Thankyou so much for helping him," Raven said gratefully.

The Docter handed ahikiho to raven and Lantins jacket back to Lantin. "Thank you." 'Any time Lantin.' the man said and returned to his office, closing the door behind him. Lantin looked over at raven, to see her happily holding her child. "He looks a lot better." he said.

"Yes, he does...He just needs to rest now. I think," Raven replied.

As if on cue, Akihiko started falling asleep.

"Thankyou for taking us here," Raven said softly.

Lantin smiled and helped her up, after he stood up. He took her by the hand and walked home with her, still holding her hand the whole way. When they got home, he yawned as well. "let's nap together, as soon as I set up the crib I bought." he said and picked up on of the boxes that were still in the hallway. He brought the box with him and raven to the bedroom. "I'll set this up." ue said and statted to construct the crib

Raven's cheeks turned pink when he mentioned taking a nap together.
In truth, she felt almost uncomfortable, but she didnt say anything.

"Thankyou for this," Raven whispered.

Raven quietly left the room and walked into the one that Lantin had told her was hers.
She plopped down onto the bed and laid Akihiko next to her.

Soon, she was soundly asleep. So was Akihiko.

Lantin finsihed building the crib next to hte bed, adding the blankets and the stuffed teddy bear he had bought for Akihiko into the crib. He turned to Show raven, only to find that Mother and child were already asleep in bed. Lantin smiled and yawned and sat down, leaning against the bed next to Raven, and slowly feel asleep.

Raven slept soundly for a while, but then started to stir.
She was having a nightmare, about the man who had raped her.
She dreamed that it was happening again. that he had found her, was raping her again.

Raven started whimper in her sleep, and sweat began forming all over her face.
